Love BB KING! I seen him twice in concert at the same casino. After the concert , we went up to the room for a drink and was heading back down stairs to gamble a few hours. When the elevator door opened there was BB KING and 3 of the LARGEST body guards standing around him. 1st guy steps out... did not say anything and had his hand in down position and waved it back and forth (a silent step back) so we did. Never engaged him, never asked for autograph. He was done for the night and heading to his room. After he wheels down the hall about 20’ he says “ goodnight kids” In return Goodnight BB!!!! It was a amazing concert.

I went to graduate school in southern mississippi in the 80s. One of my friends took a bunch of us out to a private club out in the sticks telling us he had heard there was going to be some really good music there that night. Turns out it was one of the old old private "black clubs" from way back and whenever BB King was in the area he would drop in and play a couple of sets. I have no idea how my friend got wind of it but the music was GREAT!
