Weak seedling

So why i m always nervous and anxious with germination, yesterday evening i found that for some unknow reasons one seedling trunk suddenly lost it's rigidity and bend and fell to the ground. This is the first time i have something like that happen out of 25 grows

Added some support and watered because soil top was looking dry (but i don't think that was the issue soil was still wet enough below ground level, i moved her from the support for the photo so you can see how it bend this morning, she was touching the soil and noticeably trunk was looking suddenly thinner and almost transparent near it's top yesterday evening so she recovered and straighten back a very little since )

Seedling seem to recover a little but not fully, leaves as well as trunk diameter growth have been slowed in comparaison to others plants, will see if she recover hopefully i have one extra seedling left in a small pot to replace just in case she don't recover but in the end:

I needed 8 plants, i put 11 seed to germinate, one is dead right after crack open, one poped out of soil but didn't form it's first true set of leaves and finnally that one bending a few days after poping out of soil, so germinated 11 seeds, look like one week and a half after germination only 8 healthy seedlings left.

    • sux when this happens! just use that wire thingy to prop up ur baby like a crutch an stay upright...try to get some breeze blowin gently on the seedling so it moves a lil..will make the stem stronger and also try not to water real close to the stem and not over water it..no nutes either yet for 2 er 3 weeks!

      • yeah that's what i try but that's probably a dead case, more than 12 hours and no real sign of improvement, no real sign of getting worse either so i m gonna give her a chance, luckily i have an extra seedling to replace with if it don't get any better in the next few days.

        • They are young enough to even pop another seed and let it play catch up to the rest if you had to.

          • yeah eventually, but thankully i have an extra seedling left, but well look like a case of damping off for whatever reason:

"There are various symptoms associated with damping off; these reflect the variety of different pathogenic organisms which can cause the condition. However, all symptoms result in the death of at least some seedlings in any given population."

          • That's not typical damping off. If you are still working with it, you might try very carefully digging it out and put it in a damp paper towel with the head sticking out. Leave it in low light and cool temp. If it survives put back in neutral soil and low light. I think it hit a toxic spot in your growing medium.

            • yeah toxic spot in the medium or wathever fungus, bacteria or mold that can cause damping off.

She didn't seem to recover and growth was stunt so replaced it with the last healthy back up seedling i had under the belt.

                • RH is around 30-40% since a few weeks

                • It’s a struggle for me to keep RH above 60 so I put plastic bags over them brings it to 85 for first couple of weeks but sometimes ya get a dud one of my white fire OG just did it to me

                  • i can't do anything to control RH and temp so i have to deal with what the weather like, i usually prefer rh around 30 40% than 50 60% regarding mold as it rise a little at night inside the tent.
