Do I defoliate them right?

My principal is: 1fan leaves or 2lower hopeless  branches,  Main question is did I do it right?

30 minutes trimming, a lot of leaves collected in a bag, and I don’t like them as tea because of the taste is not my style, what I am going to do to use them, BTY. I don’t have the enthusiasm to use them to make soap,too. Maybe I’ll throw it away as usually.

        • I am a very heavy defoler almost a Schwazzer and I toss them. You did a good job on those from the pictures
