Longer Time for Autos

White widow by Nirvana was my favorite strain to grow when I first started growing. It has amazing dense nugs. If you're not careful they'll fall over on themselves. Even more impressive, is how these huge nugs are drenched in trichomes. It was hard to believe I could harvest 2.5-4 oz in 3 months.

After a 2 year hiatus from growing, of course I bought this strain again. I read the reviews and noticed some mention it taking closer to 4 months now. Sadly, I ignored them as I grew this strain multiple times and knew it was a 90 day strain.

Well, it day 83 and this will take atleast 5 more weeks. It's very unfortunate and makes me want to make my own seeds with colloidal silver to lock down phenos.

I'm giving the original glue auto a shot. Some comments mention it also takes 2-4 weeks longer in reality. This will put it at the original time of the ww auto, while having similar yields.

I like nirvana, but am questioning their breeding method currently.

      • I used to give them 24 before hiatus. This grow I started with 24 then cut to a shaved a few hours 3 weeks when I saw how long it was taking,  but no improvement. I switched back to 24, because I have other strains from other companies too.

      • Autos are not supposed to be photo sensitive but they are. I had some OG Kush autos growing in a veg tent with photoperiods running 24 hours of llight. they grew big and strong and then went into flower; shortly after that they started to reveg

        • If you can get the DLI up to about 40, I dont think you gain anything but a higher electric bill for growing them under more the 12/12. It seems like pouring 5 gallons of water in a 3 gallon bucket. Your grow though

I am never in that big of a hurry for plants to finish but I can tell you for sure, dont grow a Landrace Sativa. I have a Jamican going that has been under 12/12 for 6 weeks and it is just showing good clear signs of flower. I saw enough signs of flower to know it was a female 5 weeks ago.
