March grow 2021

I am three weeks into my flowering, just finished the stretch and buds are starting to form now. I have a matanuska, which is the first time growing, that has stretched to over 6ft now. I wasn,t expecting this type of height from reading the information about about it. "

Height The plant grows into a Average sized plant compared to other strains, great for filling up your grow space."

I know its a hybrid of indica and sativa and apparently sativa is the dominate here, tall lanky and thin leaves. Its growing great but was a surpise. If anyone has grown this plant I would appreciate and info or tips for it. The 2 wonderwoman plants are doing great and I have grown these for 5 or so years now, great buds, dense and full of icy trichomes. I also growing for the first time a bubba kush, kept it short and bushy but looks like a good producer. I grow in DWC, 5 gallon buckets and use GH duo A & B nutes, works well for me but considering  trying different nutes on next grow, any suggestions are welcome for the nutrients. 2 years ago I used Terpinator to see if there were any substantial improvement in trichrome improvement but really couldn't tell the difference. So again, if you have any suggestions let me know, I am always looking for improvement for my grows.  So far I usually get 3-4 oz per plant, keep them short and bushy with dense buds.

    • Plants my rule of thumb for Hybrids in coco and DWC is expect for double but plan for triple, if it has narrow leaves in veg plan for 4x just in case. In RDWC I plan for double that and I never veg for more than 4 weeks. This grow will be a mix of manifolds so I may let them go longer. Its been a hard lesson to control the stretch without hurting the yield but a heavy defol right before the flip and some bud pinching help. I was convinced it was the N in the nutes but that does not have nearly as much to do with it as I thought.

All that is for next time, this time I would try super cropping if you can do it without blocking lite to lower bud sites, the last time I had the over stretch problem I cut a foot or more off the top, they didnt hermi but if they had losing the plant is less stressful than worrying about light burn and how to keep the light equal for the shorter plants.

      • I should have paid more attention during veg, the long spindly stem should have told me then, the stretch really surprised me. I usually count for double the height.I topped them and I do heavy defoliating but this one had several inches or more between nudes, can't wait to see how taste and smells.

        • Started using a scrog net and putting the net up right before flip and as they stretch start weaving them in the net a bit and it seemed to really help keep them low as I need low cuz I’m in a tent RN
