Air circulation....

My area is on the dry side already, and the temp is held steady at a proper temperature, but I am curious as to how important having a small fan moving the air is and in essence, allowiing the plants to get a little movement/exercise through the air flow?????

    • Hey James my opinion is that its extremely important to have air moving via fans my grow space is small 4x5 and I have 3 fans one small one underneath the canopy at ground level about 12" off the floor I like to keep air moving by the pots there in keeps mold from happening another fan about 12" above the canopy not directly on the plants but they all have a light shake to them this strengthens the stems and keeps fresh air over your plants. If you put fan directly on them you will give them wind burn.

      • Great information! Thank you! I just started my own indoor space about 7x8 and I had a feeling that moving the air around a bit would be a good thing:)

      • No problem and welcome to the portal. How if your air exchange? You can move stail air around but one thing I wish I had a little better handle on is air exchange my space is in a laundry roo that's 5x12 I have vent pumping in air from the house ac but I also added a window shaker to the room definitely helps but can be better. Are you running LED lights?

        • I like to keep my plants dancing in the wind 24/7 and like Mr Banner said extraction is important too unless your adding C02 and to be honest I dont know how that works yet.
