I'm having a soil issue that I'm hoping someone can help me correct. I use potting soil for my grows but for some reason this bag that I bought is infected with these really tiny looking flies. I've used a hydrogen peroxide mixture to try to kill them to using a dish soap mixture as well. Can anyone help me figure out how to kill these things without using harsh chemicals. Thanks for the help
thanks for the info guys. I do know that there are no other plants in my area that are outside because of where I live so it must have been one that hermied or pollenated itself. I've heard of a plant pollenating itself but have not heard of them doing the other to make them produce seeds. I will have to continue growing inside and hope I can somehow catch the next one early so it doesn't wreck the others. I've been here before with lighting questions and always love the input from everyone with more skills than I have. Again thanks for your help.
I'm hoping someone can help me figure out if I did something wrong with one of my Gelato Autoflowers. The first three plants did perfectly fine, my fourth one decided to not really bud out but instead filled itself with seeds, the 5th is only a couple weeks old. I did nothing different than what I did with the others except about 2 weeks ago took it outside. Normally I do them all inside so I'm just wondering if I did something wrong for it to seed out. I just pulled it out of the dirt about 2 weeks shy of when it should have been harvest time because I didn't want it to get to the 5th plant. SO can anyone confirm it was just my fault or if it was something that this one plant decided to do on it's own? How can I prevent this in the future because I'm new to growing and have only been at it for a little over a year and only do Autoflowers. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.
I currently am using LED's to grow rated at 10,000 lumens and is full spectrum. The T-5 I ordered is at 64k so my question is, is this sufficient and what are recommendations for nutrients that I should be using. Any help would be appreciated because my flowers are not very big and are not thick and beefy in my last attempts. Thank you all in advance for your remarks.
