Silica

Question is about Silica, friend grows some pretty serious stalks and says its all about the silica and the higher the percentage the better. Wanted opinions on this. I thought silica was silica. What type do you use and how often, and how much.

    • I like it when I remember to use it, lol. You need to put it in the water first or it will lock out other nutrients, it makes branches brittle so you shouldn't do much LST after they have had it for a couple of weeks. It seems to make buds fatter ,

      • That’s a good point, I was also wondering if one is better than other like the one I use is 0-0-1 but other mixes are 0-0-.5 or 0-0-5 been reading it does fatten them up but also improves trics because they are partly make of silica.

      • I use it from start to finish and yea it should be the first nutrient to add to your water..ie it should be added 1st before anything else...I have to say I don't know if it will lock out the other nutrients...I'm just going by research I've done and what I've seen and read...

        • Hey bud, so you give it to them every time you wet them? I have been adding it only when feeding supplements not when I feed them nutes. How many ml per gallon are you doing? Thanks
