I am not sure where this is coming from, the little ones look great, but they would grow better in a cup that blocks light.... I think your one photo with green roots is algae, I dont know if its good or bad but I am thinking its not the best way to start.

Yea, I just like to be able to see roots progress. I now have blue and clear solo cups from target. They fit perfect together. Some of older seedlings/clone are still in Walmart clear solo cups. Yea light is no good for roots same goes for holding the cup on the sides. Best to hold by top rim and support at bottom. Not everything is perfect so we improve

Well thats a good plan, I just wait for the roots to poke through the holes in the bottom of the cuts.
