for the most part, your buds will snap right off when they are dry enough. when my harvest is drying i will give a bud a light squeeze to guage what it feels like, If it feels like i can break it up in my grinder, it is dry. if it is soft, moist or like cotton candy consistency it needs time. 5 days seems kinda fast on the average.

Dont be in a hurry. Another day wont hurt anything!  if its not dry enough and you transfer to mason jars too soon, you will get mold and that nasty ammonia smell
