Diamond Nectar is good stuff for the roots and a foliar spray, it has a lot of the macro nutrients the roots need. I have not used Silica the last couple of grows no particular reason other than I think of it after I have started adding nutrients and its important to add Silica first otherwise it will lock out other nutrients or so they say.
