Comment to 'What so you feed your roots ii coco coir, soil and water?'
  • alright this post has begun to get interesting. In DWC ive used hydroguard on occasion and have a bottle of it now. But i have been using two different products from Advanced Nutrients (your fave) Piranah and VooDoo Juice. They have way too many beneficial bacteria in them to list so you can do the research from the website if you like. But the Piranah can be used on seedlings and clones to accelerate root growth. Also, all 3 root products from Advanced can be used in soil or coco.

One thing i notice is that beneficial bacteria can be pricey. Also, they tend to have a large amount of inert ingredients (water) in them

    • also if you use beneficial bacteria, you have to feed the bacteria using some type of carbohydrates. Soil growers used t use molasses but in DWC it is Carbo Load or Bud Candy from Advanced

      • Yep you have to feed the little bastards and it does kind of suck that we feed them for 2 weeks and then toss them out with every res change. I liked Carbo Load in the DWC I had not thought about it again because all the users on here back then poo-poo'ed on it. Maybe a little negative review goes to far. No molasses or anything near that viscosity  in the res thank you, I have cleaned up for the last time. Bud Candy is worth another look at too. Thanks
