I looked into it a while ago and Tissue Culture Clones are not rooted cuttings, they are pieces of stem stored in a sterile environment then the pieces can be started in a compost or something like that. It would be great to store a small piece of a plant instead of keeping a mother plant alive. The kits are a couple $100 each and it would be fun to try someday but I have a feeling they would end up under the clothes stored on the rowing machine
