I wanted to expand on my answer a little bit and I hope this helps. I have always had a small grow space with limited height so I studied how to get the most bang for my buck with the space I have. I read a bunch about Scrogs and it seems like the easiest way to maximize my yeald. There are a bunch of purest online who try to act like Scrog police, screw them and do what works for you. For my Scrog I drop the net on my plant usually within a week of topping. Basically I am trying to spread the plant out horizontally as soon as possible so promote the small bud sites that develop at each node. These bud sites in a normal grow are usually cut off because they tend to produce " popcorn buds " but in a Scrog the develop into great potent buds because of better light penetration. So basically I am trimming a leaf here and there almost daily to get the most light on the developing bud sites and in many cases that means sacrificing a fan leaf that in a normal grow you would not touch. Again, everyone has to do what works best for them and if anyone tells you that your plant isn't what they would consider a Scrog then screw it and enjoy doing what works for you.

Cloning is a worse addiction than seed buying, be carful before you go that way. On occasion I will grow an Auto and a photoperiod in the same area just so I can tell the Auto its linage will soon die while the photoperiod can go on forever.

Cloning is so damn easy, hell they will root in a clear glass of water, try it. You grow several plants at once so cloning will be easy on the wallet compared to buying a seed per plant. Pointless to clone autos too so its win/autos suck/win
