Freezing seeds to maintain freshness and germination

Is it best to freeze autoflower seeds if I have more than I can grow at one time in order to maintain freshness/germination rates?

    • good question. i would like to hear other responses but you want a cool, dry, dark place. A freezer would be too cold in my opinion. also if you have any of those little silica packs i would store it with them

      • i agree with Booze...altho ive never done a side by side study as to either freezer or frig is better than the other..ive always stored mine in cool, dark ,dry places...i have some seeds in my collection gettin close to 9 years and they still pop...and i think it dont matter if they are Auto or Photo period seeds..they both the same as how to store em..GL

          • Well, thank you very much for your input.  In the fridge they go.  I appreciate your input and knowledge.  Sort of new at this.  Just been growing for a little over 3 years and I try to learn daily and usually do.
            Thanks again,

            Stephen

            • Both freezer and fridge work but I think the fridge is the best, nobody likes to be cold but everyone likes being chill
