Ascorbic acid (vitamin C powder) will break down chloramine . Make sure it is in your water report for your county or city water report. Winston Salem does not use it in our water. I use it to remove chlorine out of my tap water sometimes if I am in a hurry and can't wait on aeration to remove it. Better have a scale to weight it out cause it is not much you use to do this.
