Cholromine

I was watching a video on YouTube about water used on plants.I use tap water to water n  feed my babies n turns out maybe found a problem.i have noticed that my some of my plants just didn't look exactly right n turns out there is a chemical in our tap water called cholromine that does not evaporate like chlorine does.i usually let my water sit for 48 hrs before I use it bout that does not work on this chemical I use upwards of 10 gallons a week gonna be exspensive

    • Ascorbic  acid (vitamin C powder) will break down chloramine . Make sure it is in your water report for your county or city water report. Winston Salem does not use it in our water. I use it to remove chlorine out of my tap water sometimes if I am in a hurry and can't wait on aeration to remove it. Better have a scale to weight it out cause it is not much you use to do this. There are articles online

      • the ascorbic acid  is cheap too. a bag from amazon will last you forever lol
