My first attempt at Clones

Took a couple of clippings from these two 24k Gold plants and have one out of 4 still hanging on.  At 1 week in the clone box.  Have two bubbler stones in the box with two air pumps, water is mixed w fish shit and am currently welcoming any pointers or comments from the peanut gallery!  Saw a video of someone using bottled water with aloe and having great results.  Might try that next time.

hope everyone has a great morning!!

    • Temps are very important for successful cloning ! Keep your temps between 75 and 80, and your humidity up too. I've never used any ferts when cloning for the first weeks. I have used a product called KLN  You will get many different ideas on ways to clone. For a system like you have KLN is a product you can mix diluted to 1/4 strength, and just add to your water. It's cheap $12 and a small container will last a LONG time too !  Dyna-Gro K-L-N Rooting Concentrate Concentrate.
      K-L-N is a vitamin-hormone and nutrient solution. 8 oz
Cutting propagation is inexpensive, rapid and simple with Dyna-Gro's® K-L-N Rooting Concentrate. A vitamin-hormone solution containing vitamin B-1 and two rooting hormones (IBA and NAA), K-L-N is proven to promote vigorous root growth in trees, foliage and flowering plants. Use it for propagating cuttings, air layering, and as a transplanting drench for bare-root stock and newly potted plants. Drench, dip or mist your plants to stimulate new root growth.

      • If you keep it simple its simple..nice 45 degree cut on the stem dip in your choice of cloning gel or powder and poke it in a pete plug cover with dome usually after a week you can remove the dome...cut the top off a 20oz. soda bottle that's what i use for a dome...and just know you don't even have to use a cloning agent it will root without that but is faster with a cloning agent...

        • Aloe works great! keep the clones in a high humidity environment
