Old pal Jess needs help.. help..

what’s happening:
pH of my soil is in the high 7’s up to 8. Yesterday I did plain water pH-ed 6.0-6.2. I checked the slurry today it was at 7.7 like whaaat @_@;
I do a 1 part soil, 2 parts distilled water for the slurry.

what I feed:
I’m feeding my plants in between plain pH-ed watering with GH Trio. My supplements are GH rapid start, Calmag, and I’ve fondled a bit with a lil bit of seaweed extract.

what I’ve done thus far:
But above all I sprinkled a teaspoon of epsom salt at the base of the plant. I couldn’t water with an epsom salt solution yet as my soil is still moist. I’ll be keeping a very close eye since I am close to bloom. Can anyone weigh in on my problem too??? Shed sum more light??

side notes:

I keep a list for my feeding along with the pH just so I could backtrack everything if need be.. I’m just so confused right now

    • When we talk about PH'ing your input solution, that is only referring to the PH test itself. What goes on after that is another matter. Like the boys said PH EVERYTHING ! It's not gunna hurt ! I think if I was you, I'd just add some granular sulfur, as a top dress and keep checkin your run off. Happy growin

      • When ur growing in soil your using a medium with a decently high CEC & any calcium you add or that's already in the water... if you use tap will bind to the cation exchange sites & will keep ur ph up, So soil doesn't need much cal/mag its more for hydro.

        • flush till they get back where you want them...ph wise...In all the years I've grown you are the only person that I know who does the slurry test...There are so many variables I personally would question the accuracy of the test...That's just me I know your pretty set on that test...I wish you luck

            • I do soil saturate/slurry testing all the time if needed. It's the most accurate test you can do yourself.
