Please explain “topping” in dummy terms. How often, when to start and advantages. One more, should this be done before they go outside?

forgot but i do eight cola's sometimes more but as a rule 4 me 8 is the number ...

Will definitely do, Thanks! I really am learning a lot! But appreciate being able to read what everyone is saying although I’m lost a lot of the time. I’m bad to do and think later or over think and kill thing. Too precious to waste

Topping/pruning is done to create more bud sites, and control upward growth. It can be done at any time, but once a plant starts to flower I would stop . I top my OD plants quite a bit until the middle of July. Here's a couple pics of recently topped plants before and after. Happy growin
