Drop feed or similar

For those who drip feed or feed in a similar fashion. Do you stop the drip when the lights are off or do you let it continue?

        I run flood tables, and during the 12 of dark I only run 2 cycles, while I run 6 with lights on.

        My last lights on flood cycle is right before lights out.
