Imo, I a lot of times have my plants show up with leaf decorations in late flower. As many times as it happens imo it seems pretty common and I see a lot of pictures that confirm to me that I am not the only one. I think it's an issue more with the plant getting to the end of its life more than something I am doing. I personally would just ride it out if you are in late flower.
