ive hear just as many people say that is is too hot, as have said it works fine for seedlings. if you look on the bag, it says it is fine for seeds. I will say one thing about Ocean Forest and it is jacked up with nutrients!. Fox Farms makes a specific soil called Lite Warrior made just for starting seeds in. frankly, i like to use a plug or rockwool cube and get some roots established before anything happens
