yep need a loop...after the flip it takes from 1 to 2 weeks before it starts flowering...depending on strain...so I don't think you are even close to needing to look @ trichomes...don't want to discourage you...but one of the important things about growing medicine is patients...and is probably the hardest thing to teach yourself, it sure was for me!
