I;ve never tried mainlining and some of the harsher training methods but I find , topping , simple LST , and super cropping gives me more bang for the buck.
Mainlining is kind of an art form IMO, plant sculpting so to speak. It takes a bit longer and I dont know if you get any more bud from a plant but even when done badly, they look good.
