I clone several different ways, the DIY aero cloner I made works best, rapid rooters  is my second choice, letting cuttings sit in a glass of water works, so does just sticking them in soil. Gels and powders are optional but you dont have to use them if you dont want too. SHB has tried several different gels and does a lot of cloning so hopefully he will chime in.
