To start I am not a good hand trimer so I bought the Ipower 16 inch also and I love it. I agree with Smiley, letting them dry for a day or two first is not a bad idea, I think the buds are still pulling things from the leaves after they are cut but I didnt like dry trimming with it. IMO seems like it would be easier to knock the tric's off when the buds are dry but I have not done a head count
