It helps me a little if I think of auto flowers as always in veg and flower up until the last couple of weeks because they seem to be doing both and the stretch doesn't really stop until it gets close to the end. If your lower leaves are turning yellow too early, then I would flush and increase the N a little and see what happens.

it could be i feed every other week. but first time using maxi bloom. didn't want to waist my good nutes on auto plants . ill bump up the feed to once a week and see how that goes.

I dont know much about growing in soil but when I do I usually feed every 3-4 days. In Hydro I feed all day every day, lol.
