  • I used to use those to but changed over to a ph pen a few years back. You can get a ph pen off of Amazon for under 20 bucks and they are great. They are really easy to calibrate and use. The only thing I would recommend is when you decide to buy one, actually buy 2. I have had a couple go bad on me and it is really nice to have a backup.

    • Redundancy on ph is TOTALLY worth it. Or just pay attention so you don't have to rely on the meters so much.1.0 is a lot on the ph scale.ie:5.5-6.5 eyeball it if you will.
