I have a seed that has popped up from soil but the husky has refused to split n let the actual plant out .Any suggestions should I help it or give it a little water n time

ive had that heppen many times...dont water it to tryna get it to come off. what i do is take my lil eye dropper an apply one or two drops of water right onto the husk,,helps to soften it up sometimes..i do that maybe twice over a coupke days an then take a pointed tooth pick and gently hold the seedling with a couple fingers and gently use the tooth pick to tryna pry off the husk..usually werks..be gentle

like ChAs said be careful give it a day or two, then if needed pry apart the husks with tooth picks.

I like to use bamboo skewers like for grilling shrimp. Pice pointed end great for light surgery.
