saw this by my OD plants the other day

so the other day i was mowing by a couple my OD gerls and saw this or a different one fly outta my way an land on a shrub near by as i drove by,,,is it a male or female?..not sure if theirs more than one around here?..googled it and see its prolly a chinese praying mantist..

yeah Chinese Mantis is right! they are an invasive species that was brought in years ago to control insects, a common mantis in North America but still a blast. They will kill/eat anything that moves in their size range but theyre quite docile. You can scoop him up and put him on your shoulder and he will just hang out. Looks like he is looking for some action to me!
