thanks 2 all of u who answered i just bought a bag of pro~mix not the same as i use 2 use but close the price got me thinking bout trying water again i'll c if i can round up all my parts ????????

You may want to consider the work involved.
If you have more than a couple plants, it can get labor intensive.
Weekly bucket changes, on 8 or so plants, is a real pain in the ass.
3 1/2, 4 gallons of water for every bucket, gets heavy.
