ive had a couple times where a leaf fell onto the soil under the plant as i was trimmin it and then i watered plant..some soil got washed over the stem of the leaf and i dint notice it was even there for a couple weeks i noticed it was still nice an green like it was growing..it mighta developed roots if i had left it alone
