A friend of mine caught Psittacosis from cleaning out the pigeon shit from a whiskey Wearhouse. Not too long after that I bought a Scarlet Macaw for my ex wife and we found out  it had Psittacosis after we bought it so we had to dose it and our other birds for a month or so. We named it after the friend that died. She gave the bird to trainer and now its a movie star. Anyway I hope you feel better and remember most parrots will 76 years or more and most marriages do not.
