You have a long growing season so, unless you have a really good starting setup indoors, I wouldn't worry about the early start too much. If you're in zone 10, go ahead and start seeds now. If zone 9, a week or 2. I suggest you start in solo cups and move in and out until night temperatures stay above 45 to 50. Good luck!
