You have some good answers here and yes its harder for roots to take in nutrients in soil where they have to hunt from it they say that is the primary reason soil grows have more smell than hydro, the search for food causes some stress. 

Check your PH, add some cal/mag, they need a lot in flower and watch the new growth. I think soil takes more patience than hydro.
