RbtAsq, I dont know where the hell your post went but the article is 100% about soil, Hydro is mentioned in 3 places and its in the word Hydrogen. The chemicals needed are all the same but I think they are absorbed differently in soil among a host of other things. Having the right Microorganisms at the roots and feeding them is a bit different too.
If I get a cheap bag of soil from the local grocery store and a seed with good genetics I can have the Brix at 12% the whole grow no problem and very little Myco. With water grows like DWC, I have to work (and think) to get the brix up to 12% before harvest. I am getting there though.

If I am reading the response from High Brix Manufacturing Inc correctly they dont think you can have the right environment in hydro to raise the brix. They sell soil and additives for soil, so I think they may be biased. But I will let you know how the conversation goes.
No it does work the same way without soil for a medium. Even though we discuss chemistry, the biology contribute to the success of the system. Soil is need for the environment of the biology to contribute to the efficiency of the system.

Next response from High Brix Manufacturing is you cant have a High Brix in a hydro system. I love it when people tell me I cant do something I have already done, and done repeatedly.
