I don't know about fun but the feeling of accomplishment was worth it.  I had to go through a sequence and let the engine Idle until the water and oil temp came up to running temps to set fuel trim and had to drive it 10 miles to set it and now she has to be in hibernation mode for 8 hours to reset the battery monitoring system so she charges correctly. All this for a battery change ?  Oh well one of the most technical but very user friendly. She sure is fun to cut up with on the Blue Ridge Parkway @  280 hp and 299 ft/lbs of torque in an AWD transmission a lot of manageable fun at my age lol
