Ready for an update on my Blueberry Kush auto grow?

by harley24 about April 27 - report

Well, the deed is done, the girls are drying as we speak. These girls went for 12 weeks from seed. All the buds are really dense and sticky. I didn't have any super large cola's, but each plant had a consistent size of buds, some more than others. The tall plant had the largest yield. This strain was very sticky, but not quite as sticky as the Original Glue photo period strain. I like to pluck all the large fan leaves the day before i harvest so that all i have to do is snip the buds off the branches and put them into the iPower trimmer and then into the drying rack. I did all 19 plants and cleaned everything up in 6 hours. I started at 10am and was having a drink and relaxing by 4pm. I am very happy with the way this strain turned out, but i am still curious as to why i had the yellowing of the lower leaves. This is a long way from my first grow, and i have not had this issue in a long time, but with the help from some of you i think you figured it out for me. I need to use a little epsom salt next time i grow this strain. I was just not thinking. These were grown with GH Flora series base nutes, cal mag, terpinator, liquid koolbloom and mother of all blooms. They were grown under 5 1200w and 1 1500w led full spectrum lights. Anyway some pictures are below, and feel free to leave feedback if you want.  Peace

    Plants look great.

I never heard of an iPower trimmer before. At first the idea seemed a bit scary but I watched a few videos and it seems to do a great job.

I have been using this trimmer for a couple of years now. I really like it, but if you have any fluffy buds you need to trim them by hand. This trimmer will eat up fluffy buds and turn them into trim for BHO if you put them under the knife of the iPower t...  more

Another great looking grow Harley, congratulations. I'm really looking forward to the smoke report. I've tried a blueberry strain from a dispensary and it was fantastic. I think it was Blue Dream but I can't recall for certain. They had a really nice blueberry taste and just good smoke all around.

Thanks Bill, and i have a friend who grew some of this outside. He swears the smoke is really good, tastes like blueberry and a little earthy along with just a little citrus taste. I will let everyone know once it has cured. Peace

Thanks SHB, and you are spot on with the smell. It smells like a blueberry & weed sort of thing. The smell is very strong with this strain, and i have been trying to mask it now because it is really smelling strong while it is drying. PEace

They look really good, I like that tall one, I think I would keep that one for personal use. Do you put a catch tray under your drying baskets? I think I am going to line the bottom one with butcher paper next time and catch all that keif.

Let us know the final weight after they dry I am courious how that compares to youe last photo grow.

Thanks Screwstick, and i don't bother trying to catch any of the keif. Actually there is not that much that falls on the floor. With the white colored tiles it would be very easy to see, and i keep my floors very clean. I will send out the smoke report as...  more

Oh ok I looked at the pictures first then read it second and I was gonna ask how long you leave the plants with all the fan leaves off of it.... but then I saw you said you cut them the day before harvest to make it easier to do your IPower trimmer.... that’s pretty sweet 6 hours for 19 plants!!!! If I ever scale up to having more plants I will have to get me one of these and dial it in

The trimmer works great, but you have to get used to it and use it a certain way. Fluffy buds will get chopped up and used for trim. Once you get used to it and how it works it will save you so much time. Peace
