Dollar store gem

by thisisme about April 22 - report

Was wandering around the Dollar Tree today and found some bamboo skewers. Not the usual short thin ones but thick very long ones 32" in length. They are with the BBQ stuff. I plan on using them for plant stakes outside. Just thought I would pass it along for those that like to stake their weed.

I'm always finding bargains for the garden in there. I grow bamboo so won't need that but I get that soft tie-wire and even use their pepper and other spices to repel critters.

Thank you this is me good share. I purchased big white ceramic dinner plates from walmart for putting under my pots for a buck ea. Got tired of the plastic trays cracking all the time.. Lots of deals outside of the garden dept for growing.. Happy Growing

Stick.. check out the hardware section. They have heavy thick round pans to use for draining oil. I use them all over the house now for various things. I wash dishes in one even.

They are probably not as thick.. but they are solid. most garden stakes I buy have grown to the hollow stage. I tried to bend one of mine to the breaking point and it would take more effort than I am willing to give.
