Bloom boosters

by Jack about February 10 - report

Im about to flower 2 plants that I just transplanted to Coco Loco/Perlite/Seabird Guano 0-12-0, 1 5gal Smart pot 1 3 gal Smart Pot. They've been fed the full Fox Farms soil nutrient line + Recharge and Fish Shit. Im wondering which bloom booster to use. Currently choosing between Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz or MOAB (they appear very similar), or do u guys recommend something else? Mammoth P is what I'd really like to add, but cant really pay $60/100mL. I used Fox Farms Open Sesame weeks 4-6 of veg/transition, and will use Cha Ching to finish, unless u guys know of a better product.... Thanks folks!

I am not familiar with the FF line of products but no matter what boosters you buy I suggest buying it in small quanities, you wont need much for a couple of plants and you will want to try others so its easy to end up with a shelf full of boosters like most of us have.

Definitely, I bought their liquid nutes by the pint and the solubles in 6oz containers... I was considering Advanced Nutrients Big Bud and Overdrive, and am curious to try Nectar of the Gods line. But i gotta say, so far my favorite products /additives...  more

You can use more than one kind, just don't overload them. I was going to advise you to check on getting a free sample of mammoth p. That is good to utilize your P and a little bit is all you need. It feeds on alfalfa so you might fix a little tea for your babies.

Looking for free samples is a good idea, nutrient manufactures are like drug dealers giving out free samples to get you hooked.

Hey brother, I'd go to their web site and sign up for their newsletter. If they have discontinued that, then shoot them an email and tell them you are interested in trying their product. They're in Ft Collins, Co.

Ok, Thank you brother. I'll do that tomorrow. I guess most companies have some kind of samples but you gotta ask. They can't say no if you don't ask.

is Mammoth P that expensive? I thought Mammoth P was a microbial and not technically a bloom booster.  I like MOAB and you will see alot of the top growers on this site use it religiously. Thats why i do it. trying to follow the hot trends and technology, i suppose. also look into Terpinator which is another nice supplement

I am on my 3rd grow with MOAB and I will tell you I am really happy with the results. I actually asked a similar question a couple of days ago and got some great feedback. The fox farm line is designed to all work together so I don't think you can go wrong by sticking with them exclusively. I use the trio and probably would have stayed with there complete line but I bought the MOAB before researching all my options. MOAB works great and I just started using terpinator with it. Whatever you decide keep us posted.

I will not tell you what to use, but i will tell you what i use. When i first see signs of flower i start using Liquid Koolbloom. I use this until there are 4 weeks left in my grow before harvest, then i switch to MOAB for the next three weeks at 1/4tsp per gallon. When i start using the MOAB i cut my base flowering nutrient in half. This has worked really good for me since i have started doing this. I use the MOAB for three weeks and then flush the last week before i harvest. Good luck. Peace

    Here is a "flower" chart:

week 1        --- is transition stage

    week 2  --------Bloom

    week 3 --------Bloom

    week 4 --------Agressive Bloom

    week 5 --------Agresive Bloom

    wek 6 ---------Agressive Bloom

    week 7 -------Agressive Bloom

    weeks 8-9 -------------Flush

So your amounts of P & K will change in week 3 to 4 - look at your's see what fits  (higher amounts of "P" than "K"  example 0-10-6 and in  /  Agressive Bloom  use higher amounts of "K" than "P" example: 0-1-3

whatever your choice is Jack dont overdo the nutes and burn the plants. kinda test the waters. with MOAB you can cut your flower nute in half.
