jock horror autoflower height

by rg420 about November 16, 2018 - report

Hey guys!  Quick question...Have Jock Horror autoflowers at about 4 weeks now.  How tall do these guys get?  This is my 2nd grow (grew in the past, but not with all these new fertilizers and processes...old school).  Using Canna products exclusively, and have done well.  Reason I'm asking about the height is I currently have a 5 Aurora's growing.  They started out looking like little bushes with FIM'ing.  I didn't think they would get all at all.  Then when I changed to 12's and added Canna Boost, they friggin shot up well over double in height.  Dealing with just a little burn (starting week 7), but have pulled most of the tall ones to the side to help them out.  Thusly concerned about the JH auto's. Nirvana shows a medium height.  I use scrog on Aurora and plan on it with the JH auto's.  Appreciate the insight!

Throw up a picture if you can. Also check out my pics of Jock on my page. I've grown this now 7 times and its been the most stable auto yet as far as height. What lights are you using and could it be stretch.

I have grown jock outside many times but this is my first indoor grow.

I am using Cana also and the plant is three weeks old.

It is as pushy and fat as can be and is 6 inches tall.

The Coco was augmented with perlite and some very fresh worm castings.

    It is under a T5 and in a 5 gallon pot !18/6.

Mine is very similar, kinda short and fat. Fat leaves as well. I'm just using fluorescent at the moment, waiting for space. They are in 3 gallon pots, running 20x4, was 7x4 for first 2-3 weeks. Thx...

2 to 3 feet is the average. Just harvested a JH auto right at 3 foot tall. She was super cropped as well so she might have reached 4 foot

Yes, Coco, cannazyme, and cannaboost. Not supercropping but scrog. Have just started reading about supercropping. Kinda scary, lol...

You have to get the rhizotonic for the root system and use it until flower. I use the a and b, rhizo, boost and the pk13/14. Canna works really well

Forgot, I did/do use pk 13/14 for 1 week. The root systems when I've transplanted have all looked really full/strong (obviously, my perspective, nothing to back that up). Didn't really see a need? It really does, good stuff.

I have grown these before with a few of them going to five foot or more. It depends on the phenomes what you get. Just be prepared for a tall one or more because it can happen. Peacd

I know the regular version are supposed to be tall, but thought autoflower would be short. Ok, so plenty of FIM'ing with scrog to try to control it. thx!

Have topped 2 of the 3 twice. Last one is a little behind. Had read some posts on not topping them at all, so thought i'd get some input. Yeah, wife really likes sativa, so hoping all goes well. A buddy grew a standard JH about 6 mos ago and she loved...  more

Rh how did the fiming work out for you on the autos? Such a fast grow I wonder if it will hurt the yield .

I would say as short as you want them if you tie them down early in the grow..

I've had one grow to 34 inches under lst.He sister 24 inches. Both were quite bushy. I always LST Autoflowers as early as I can and even super crop if they get too tall. Only had to super crop with Bubble and super shunk autoflower if I remember right.

You say 'had to' on super cropping the bubble and super skunk. What caused the 'had to', and when did you do it? Learning...thx.

Thanks for the feedback!  I have 2 weeks till they go under 400 hps, and start the scrog.  Just hoping to keep the height under control.  Couldn't believe how the Aurora shot up all of the sudden and wasn't sure what to expect with these.  Nirvana shows medium height, but i'm not sure what medium means.  They are fun to watch grow!

The seed catalog they have is informative and they deliver fast ! BUT I have noticed in their chart it may say one thing and in the description they say another. It can be confusing but after all they are living plants and they will do what they want.

I actually got both sets of seeds from a friend, so I can't comment on the speed of delivery. I am very impressed with the output though! Yep, exactly...
