Aurora Indica DWC ( Day 60 update)

by Mow10herb about September 14 - report

Just an update on my grow, I feel like some of you have been part of it.... Really impressed with the resin of this aurora and the smell is coming on lovely. Have been flushing for only a couple days and already seeing the changes in my plants, it goes quick in dwc. Amber trichs starting to show up on calyxs but not many most are cloudy with a few clear....trichs on leaves are all cloudy and amber and the heads are really getting swollen on them it wont be long now and I cant wait to get it drying and curing..... Thanks everyone for your insight along the way and wish you could be here to test it in a few weeks with us, happy growing!

Aurora is a good one to harvest in stages if it doesn’t do it on its own. Those monsters will probably have trichs clear and milky towards the bottom and milky with a little amber on top. Milky with a little clear is a typical Indica buzz and the milky an...  more

Aurora is good for that, it’s a high CBD strain and works well for getting off the chemical painkillers

I did a pretty good amount of it right at the end of the stretch, weeks 2 to 3 of flowering....but I left plenty just removed the real light blockers then about at 6 and a half weeks I begin getting rid of a lot of them, seems to make everything fatten up...  more

The down side of Aurora is once I cut it the smell was more like hay than weed. I open jars from time to time just for the smell but I pass on the Aurora. It tastes great and I love the buzz but it just misses the mark on smell. Next I grow it I will use ...  more

I've noticed some strains bred with Northern Lights genes have a very bland smell to them. Only 2/5 of my NL fems had any real smell after harvest and cure, lightly sweet/berry/dank but delicious when ground up. My jars smell faintly sweet with some grass...  more

Excellent grow my friend. You have some great looking plants. I want to grow aurora so bad but I've got a ton of different seeds I bought from various places when everyone had killer 420 sales. Pains me now that I didn't grab any. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I've been growing the same 5-6 strains for 30 years. Didn't realize the 1000's of strains till I joined this group. You can still let us try some, just mail me a qp and I'll tell you how I liked it! Lol PEACE, Roscoe

My Aurora Indica is on day 51 of flower and I am just starting my flush tomorrow. It is the tightest nugs I have ever grown as well. I have a White Widow that is almost as tight though. Mine is covered in almost all cloudy trics. It looks like actual frost on them. I still have white hairs. I think this strain will go longer than the recommended 7-9 weeks but it did take mine around 10 days after flip to start preflower. If I’m only on day 41 of actual flower I’m gonna get some serious weight out of this one Aurora Indica! It has 16 big dense colas. Mine are the size of canned drink cans from the base up to the top. Last week they were the size of a zippo lighter. There really stacking on the weight right now. Your’s looks just like mine. Same tight stacking and hard hugs. I’m wanting a little amber in mine to really kick the Indica in. I hope I don’t start the flush to soon and loose any weight. Nice grow. Wish I could post a picture of mine here.

I will be harvesting mine Wednesday. That is exactly 9 weeks from flip to 12/12. I have got just a few amber trics here and there. I have been flushing for 2 weeks. It looks like an awesome strain! I hope it is as good of a product as it looks.
