Water in AC ducting.

by FREE ! about March 12 - report

Was in my loft yesterday cleaning fans n shit when I noticed water in the ducting of both air in & out. Now I understand the water being in the extraction duct, sucking lots of warm air out but it's also in ducting for air in? Has anyone else had this issue?

Sounds like you have a really high RH in your air! I believe as the air is being pulled in, it cools some, leaving moister/water in your duck work. This happens a lot in the summertime where I live. Unless it's starts getting really bad? I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Insulating the duct may help if it's in an unconditioned space.

There is condensate from a difference in temp and as hip said lots of humidity. Intake duct is warmer than air coming in and output duct is cooler than air going out.

Aye think I'll skip winter months in future. It's a pain temps & humidity are erratic. ASC.

OK, what is ASC Free? Altered state of conciousness covers most of us probably, lol. I guess it could be advice and support center too.

I agree with SLB its condensation and I think GG is right you could insulate the ducting or buy insulated ducting and it should stop.
