Going Old School Solved

by Leaner about December 7, 2017 - report

I've been Reading and Reading  was wondering what the thoughts R  about Germinating the seeds  right in soil ??             Still waiting for mine to arrive and honestly drive me a Lil Buggy there valuable Lil suckers. ..               Assuming  that I have the soil , temp, lighting  right      I'm thinking I should just try one in the soil guess its the Gardener in me that  thinks just put it in the dirt and it'll Grow.   I realize that there's been alot of progress and information now that everyone more expecting   related to growing.         I might be stuck in the 70s.  and have alot of time on my hands , LOL ..

Depends on you soil and how you prepare it. That is what gurilla growers do.

Yeo stick a monkey in the ground, feed well and 14 weeks later a guerrilla. It's easy.

You are smart to only germinate one seed at at time until you get it right.

I just wet a paper towel with spring water.. lay the seed in it ,, fold it a few times and slap it in a baggy.  I don't keep it anywhere special.. in fact it is next to my electric tea kettle in the kitchen so I don't forget I am sprouting seeds.. Never lost one yet this way.

I use root plugs but I've started a bunch in simple peat/perlite mix. I first started in the 60s but it was all bag seed back then...nobody even thought about seeds costing 5, 10, 20 dollars each, lol. I mean, hell, you could buy a bag for 10. Whatever method you choose, I would say a good EVEN temp. of 80-85. A heat pad helps.
