When should I start  Low stress training. This is how big the auto is now.

    • As soon as the branches sprout by each leaf of each node. It is almost never to early to start lst.

        • Check out the base of this plant, you can see I started bending this plant really early on. I usually top at the 3rd node . That makes them bushy. Imo, if you want to get the most out of LST you should definitely consider topping your plants. There are great articles about it at growweedeasy.com.

          • That is an awesome manifold you got there

I am trying those rings this grow. So far they work better for me than the drippers but its a long way to harvest.

            • I am also using the rings in one flower area and drippers in another. I have 4 drippers per pot so they are working fine but I like the delivery a little better with a large rings. It seems to soak the whole pot a little more evenly. I haven't had anything get stopped up yet but I keep them pretty clean. I will take them out and soak them in a heavy mixture of FloraKleen between runs. I only use them in flower. I hand water everything in veg since I have to mix different nutrient strengths for different aged plants and different stains. I only mix for one strain per irrigation reservoir since all my flowering plant are in different stages of the flowering cycle.

            • Does anyone LST outdoor or only in pots?

              • I top Autos the same time and place as I do photoperiods, when I have 6 nodes I top at the 3rd. Topping seems to extend the time in veg and you can root those cutting and get a little more yield but it may or may not be worth the effort. For LST I start bending as soon as there is something big enough to bend, I dont add any Silica to the feed mix until I am done bending to avoid the 5-7 cola Mainlines. Snap .

                • NOW! If you are going to train it you should start as soon as it it tall enough to start bending it over. I am in the same boat as CPW. With autos I like to top and train autos as soon as there is enough plant there to work with. You have such a short veg window with autos you have to start early. If this is going outdoors I would probably just grow her out without any training but I will definitely be topping any autos I grow from now on. I have had quite a few autos give me a QP since I started topping and training them harder and sooner. Good luck and happy growing my friend!!
