Tommy Chong

Back in 80-81 my good friend Woody who owned a limo service, called me and said hey Chubby I'm gunna pick up Tommy Chong at the airport ( he had a stand up gig over the weekend ) . So when he picked him up, the first thing Tommy asked was, where can I get some good green ? Woody called me and said, " I'm comin over with Tommy Chong, he wants some good bud !" I freaked out ! So I went to my best bag and got an oz. of my top shelf bud. 30 minutes later when they showed up Woody came in to get the buds and asked me if I wanted to meet TC...duh HELL YES ! When I went out to the limo to meet him, he said, "get in will go get something to eat." Off we went, me and TC sittin in the back of Woody's limo. Of course I had rolled a big fat one. It was unreal, me and TC in the back of Woody's limo, smokin a joint and shootin the shit. We went to SteakNShake for eats, and he also wanted to go to Penny Lane a local head shop owned by a friend. At this time paraphernalia was illegal in Cali. so he wanted to stock up..he,he,he ! He spent over $300, and that was at half price. After all, it was Tommy frickin Chong !! So after we went to Penny Lane they took me back home and Tommy asked me if I wanted tickets to his show that night...Duh...anyway at the show he said to the audience, "you have some really good weed here in Illinois !" Made my day !
