are you drying it in jars? to my understanding when you keep it bunched up in jars it builds up moisture. Not so much a criticism but trying to understand more. Ideally, you want it to air out then it can go into jars

Some hung seven days, some ten-fourteen. Just depending on how it felt. Then I put it in jars
