  • I use recharge in coco as a root drench every couple of weeks, if you read the ingredients it really has all the microbes including the food they need.  As much as I like it, it is not for water grows unless you want black roots and clogged pumps. I alternate every other week in coco do a root drench in coco with Amino and Humic Acid, that is over kill but it keeps me happy and I am on a mission to hit a brix of 20%. I put Orca and Hydro guard in the auto feed res.  Orca is Great White in a liquid form.

I stopped using Mycos WP in, drain to waste and recirculating water grows after cleaning out the out the res and totes a few times. The people at Extreme tell me what doesn't dissolve and has to be cleaned out is the vessel that carries the bacteria but it makes a freaking mess in the res and ever grow site tote. So I use Orca its liquid and it can swim so no mess to clean up or discolored roots works great too and I use Hydroguard as much out of respect as anything, it saved a few grows for me and I wont forget. This grow I am going to try Tribus Original and see how that does. I also started using Flora Blend in the last grow but I didnt use floralicious, I think that may have been a mistake. I will find out this grow.

I measure my root ball by the amount of water they displace when I do a res change. The last grow they took up the equivalent space of over 10 gallons in six 13 gallon gallon grow sites and one 13 gallon control bucket. For years I didnt foliar feed but I started 3 grows ago, what you feed your roots should complement your foliar feed. My rule is if it stains the roots use it as a foliar feed up until about the 2nd week after the flip.

    • Thanks for the shared experience, I'd like to try what everyone has recommend at some point to see what works for me. Thanks for the heads up on mycos wp clogging up line. Think I'm going to have write down a list of products everyone has recommend and learn about them. So far I have been learning a bit about compost teas and  feeding them molasses or bud candy. I mean about microbes, Still learning.

      • That sounds like a good plan, my best suggestion is try it all and see what works for you
