I once again checked the slurry for 2/4 of my plants they were at 7.7++pH. I flushed with 4.7-5.2pH plain water just to find out that runoff was at the freaking 8’s. I have no earthly idea what I’ve done wrong..

    • what i'd likely do if i were in your shoes would be 1st off , borrow or buy another ph pen , 2nd use it to get my ph'd water to 6.5 and dump a whole bunch lotsa water thru til i got the runoff to around 7.0 ish. i'd also do it right away before i'd overstress her into herming . good luck !

      • Jesse, how old are the plants, do you ever flush?  Do you water til runoff?  What ph are you adjusting your nutes to?  And the 2 plants that are 7.7 plus do they look sick?  Are all 4 plants the same age?  Same watering/nute schedule?

        • Week 3 25-26 days. I don’t quite water til runoff honestly. Plain pH-ed water in between feedings. It looked well. There were no signs of yellowing. ‘Twas til then that I suspected them with slow growth. That’s when I did a slurry and it was out of range and it was only til then that yellowing leaves were present. Culprit #1 is king’s salt buildup since I don’t water til runoff. Culprit #2 is from migs with my pH pen.

        • this is what i would do if it were me ......  get a larger bucket [ needs to b a fair size larger ] than your growing pot set the grow bucket/bag PH 6.5 enough water to bring water level up 2 top of your medium let set for 5 mintues drain repeat as needed sounds like u have a salt build up .... 2 cent

          • I hope it’s all just salt buildup King.

              • How hard is the water before you add your nutrients, Tap water or well water can be loaded down with calcium carbonate an once it binds with the cation exchange sites it’ll keep ur ph above 7 & you won’t be able to flush it out because calcium is a double positive charged ion, So the plant will have to eat it.
