CPW, your foliar spray idea I'm gunna try on my next ID grow. I always use granular kelp in my mix. Speakin of Kelp...many years ago, probably 25 or more, as a golf course super, whenever I over seeded a golf green, I would mix the bent grass seed with granular Kelp, which at that time it was called alginic acid. I bought it in 50lbs bags for around $17 a bag. It was a combination of kelp and other sea weed extracts. Doing this would allow the seed to have a little wider spread out of the spreader, I could see the seed spread much better, and it provided nourishment for the developing seeds. It's good stuff ! It seems to work really well, but be warned, it smells like a sewage treatment plant spilled into fish processing plant. I usually add some dry Amino Acids with it, that seems to give it a little of a BBQ sauce smell on top of the sewage smell. Fortunately it doesn't last more than a few minutes
I don’t use the liquid kind of there’s but I do use the powder during flower an it’s some good stuff you can trust blue planet.
I use liquid Kelp in the res all through the grow and as a foliar spray up to about week 2 of flower. It works great according to my brix levels
